If any of you read the last newsletter, I'm going to make good on my promise to cut things down... so here we go.

My- Otome
Ranma 1/2
Tenchi Muyo GxP
Fate/Stay Night
Devil Hunter Yohko
Slayers TRY x2

My-Otome 3- Due to Duke Nagi’s suggestion, Nina and Arika battle against each other in order to determine if Nina stays an Otome, or Arika is admitted in. Neither is willing to give up, and it’s also possible that the coronation could all be false if Arika is possibly the real heir. As they battle, Nina soon gains the upper hand, as a man dressed in black comes to the castle. Shizuru goes to investigate, and they soon end up battling. Meanwhile, despite Nina having the advantage in the beginning, Arika has battled back and is starting to win; but before a winner can be decided, due to the battle in the castle, it ends up collapsing, and drawing everyone’s attention.

Ranma ½ S3 6- After Akane loses to Shampoo in an arm wrestling contest, she ends up eating Happosai’s special soup, which makes its eater super strong. Ranma immediately decides to test this out… and he turns out to be a very sore loser as Akane beats him over and over. With this strength, she resolves to beat Shampoo in a test of strength… better known as ping pong. Akane and Shampoo play the game in a style that can only be called Ranma ½ style (with Shampoo also ending up eating the same soup and being on the same ground as Akane)… and after Shampoo accidently traps Ranma, she decides to go and frustrate Akane with Ranma underneath a huge bowl. Ranma turns this to his advantage, and Akane frees them; since she refuses to take the antidote, Ranma faces her in ping-pong in his female form. Akane still is stronger… until she finds out the side effect, and ends up running away, until Ranma finds her and gives her the antidote as well.

Tenchi Muyo GxP 14- A new girl joins Seina and his crew- (the green haired loli) Neju. The crew is assigned a mission, but there’s a catch- they aren’t supposed to attack any enemies. On board, Neju soon sparks the jealousy of the girls by sticking extremely close to Seina (calling him big brother), and we add another crew member: the navigational device turns out to be an egg that hatches into a cabbit, which Seina names Fuku. Neju spends a lot of time with Seina (and Fuku is always nearby either Neju or Seina), and the girls decide to dig up some dirt on her- it turns out she’s actually the High Priestess, though Neju makes sure they don’t reveal this secret to Seina. The crew continues on their mission otherwise, and after escaping more pirates, they finally arrive at their destination place, and now Seina is clued in on the purpose of things: Neju was to determine if Seina’s skills were like her own High Priestess abilities, and very fortunately for him, his are something still different. As she is escorted away, it’s revealed that her life might actually still be in danger, and thus the loli stays with Seina’s crew.

Fate/Stay Night 5- Since Shirou feels guilty for keeping Saber locked away in his room while he’s away at school, and Saber keeps insisting that she should stay by his side, he draws a compromise and introduces her to his sensei and the other girl that stays with him (I forget her name). Meanwhile, more trouble involving masters and servants starts brewing in the city, and Saber insists that she accompanies Shirou in order to protect him, though he says he’ll be fine. At school, Rin has made the decision to next time kill Shirou if she sees him, and when the two run into each other after school, despite him saying that there might be others around, she keeps her word on this promise as she attacks him, and he runs away.

Devil Hunter Yohko 2- Again with Dave and his near-Sailor Moonish stuff… anyways, Yohko ends up getting an assistant, Azusa, a devil hunter-in-training. Meanwhile, a construction company is disturbing a forest, and ends up freeing some dark spirits, which attack one of the workers. As Azusa goes out in the city with Yohko’s friend and a dog, she sees two of the spirits in the forest, but doesn’t realize what they are. Later that night, Azusa is out investigating the forest, and she encounters the dog from earlier, who then runs off into the forest. Azusa chases after it, and she encounters the dog getting possessed. To make matters worse, the dark spirits are not happy that they’ve been awakened, and Azusa is soon taken hostage. Yohko has found that Azusa is missing by now, and that she also forgot her transformation gauntlet. She finally manages to catch up, and takes out the ones holding Azusa hostage. This awakens the Devil King of the forest, and when Azusa finally becomes battle-ready, they battle against it. After some huge initial difficulty, they finally manage to take it down, setting things back to normal. However, Yohko does bring up a good point about respecting the spirits who protect the land, and merely wish to be left in peace.

Slayers TRY 25 & 26- The final battle against Valgaav occurs, with Lina and the others throwing just about everything they have at him (well, minus the Giga Slave or Ragna Blade). However, despite the enormous strength of the Weapons of Light and several very strong spells, Valgaav seems to be completely unaffected. He reveals his plan: to eradicate all life, and bring it forth again through rebirth. He also reveals something supposedly for any race to know: why all the wars continue. It turns out that two of the highest powers have been locked in battle for countless ages, and are rather tired of simply fighting each other with any meaning having been lost long ago. Filia is actually caught by these words, but Lina is able to snap her out of it. The final stand against Valgaav is made at the Temple of the Ancient Dragons, and Valgaav is determined to carry out the will of the High Powers (as he’s already destroyed some of the land). However, the prophecy is recalled: to summarize, that a human will come forth between the powers of Dark and Light (Xelloss and Filia) to stop Darkstar. Filia summons the powers of the light and the gods, with Xelloss summoning Shaburnigdo’s power, and with all the Weapons of light being wielded, she combines all the power, and it wipes out Valgaav’s own destructive attack, then takes out Valgaav himself. However, despite the victory, because of the truth behind Valgaav’s words, it’s rather hollow. Still, Lina brings them back by saying it’s now all over… though Valgaav returns as a baby Ancient Dragon, and Filia takes him into her care. The remaining god takes all the weapons of Light as he heads back to his world, and the rest split up, each going their own ways: Amelia is resuming her princess duties, Zel is wandering the world, Filia, Jillas and his partner are tending to a vase store (and baby Valgaav I in a basket), Xelloss is seen talking/explaining things to someone, and Lina and Gourry are together, wondering when their next adventure will be. Thus ends the third season of Slayers.
